Edward Peterson, Ph.D., P.E.is a process engineer with 28 years of experience in the oil and gas and chemical industry, ranging from basic research to major chemical and petroleum plant upgrades, including design and operation of pilot plants and implementation of new technology. Dr. Peterson received his Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University and his M.S. from Rice University in Chemical Engineering. He provides expert knowledge and interfaces with our research and technology application resources and has been actively involved with the design of the new Synfuels technology since its inception. Dr. Peterson is an inventor on several issued and pending Synfuels patents and continues to be a vital asset to the management team as Synfuels moves into the commercial design and implementation of the technology worldwide.

Dr. Joel Cantrell is a development engineer for Bryan Research & Engineering, Inc. Dr. Cantrell also acts as an independent consultant hired by Synfuels to head the coordination of efforts with Texas A&M on the development of the GTL technology and oversees the operations at the demonstration facility. Dr. Cantrell received his B.S. in chemical engineering at Texas A&M University in 1991 and his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Lehigh University in 1996. Dr. Cantrell's most recent accomplishments include performing technical and economic analysis of proposed natural gas conversion processes as well as the development of the conversion process for pilot and commercial scale applications. Dr. Cantrell has also designed and implemented software to evaluate the dynamics of natural gas plant economics and developed advanced multivariable process control software. Dr. Cantrell has taught oil, natural gas, and electric power courses and has made numerous presentations and authored several papers concerning various aspects of the oil and gas industry.

Dr. Anil Oroskar, Ph.D. — Global Technology Advisor to Synfuels
Dr. Anil Oroskar received is PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1981. For 25 years he worked at UOP, in many areas such as catalysis, process engineering and new technology delivery and made significant contributions to the commercialization of new technology in the refining and Petrochemical Industry. He retired from UOP in 2005 as a Senior Executive to manage his own company, Orochem Technologies Inc. which specializes in Biotechnology and Drug Discovery. Anil has over 50 US patents and numerous publications. He was one of the Directors of the Fuels and Petrochemical Division of AICHE. He is currently an adjunct Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois, Chicago and also the Director of the Center for Innovation in Chemical Industry.
